"Women's
Voices is unique among our regional choirs in that it presents
music that few if any other groups perform, anywhere in the world."
~Spectator,
Sept. 2000

Women's
Voices Chorus has revived lost or forgotten works by Hildegard
of Bingen, Amy Beach, Elinor Remick Warren, and Ethel Smyth, among
others. We keep up with old favorites by Britten and Brahms. Our
programs unify eclectic musical styles, from the serious to the
silly, from the ethereal to the foot-stomping, around a central
theme.
There
is so much first-rate music written especially for women's voices!
As we delve into historic repertoire, we revive and relive our
lost choral history from convents, schools, colleges, and music
clubs. Learning new works stretches us musically.
